Shiho Takashima was born in Yamanashi, Japan and plays Violin which was made in 2005 by her father Kenjiro Takashima.
In Summer 2017, Ms. Takashima had a World Tour as a Concertmaster of the Asian Youth Orchestra.
She performed 20 Concerts and all repertoires with the artists Sarah Chang, Vadim Repin, Jan Mráček, Gerhard Oppitz, under the baton of Matthias Bamert, James Judd and Richard Pontzious who was a founder of Asian Youth Orchestra.
The World Tour was held in Beijing China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tokyo Japan, San Jose California, Berkeley California, Wolf Trap Virginia, Brevard North Carolina, New York, Bassano Italy, Ravello Italy, Merano Italy, Toulouse France, Santander Spain, San Sebastian Spain, Lucerne Switzerland, Berlin Germany, Prague Czech Republic, Brussels Belgium.
At that time in Hong Kong and Berlin Concert, there was a world premiere performance of “As the Heart Soars” made by composer named Wong Chun-Wai. Ms. Takashima performed solo as well.
Ms. Takashima was the Concertmaster in 2018 as well and her musical mentor have been Stefano Pagliani in Italy, Thanos Adamopoulos in Brussels, Florin Paul in Germany.
Ms. Takashima was also Concertmaster of the Yamanashi Junior Orchestra and she performed Concerto for Two Violins as a soloist with former Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic, Leon Spierer.
In 2012, she performed concerts with cellist Mischa Maisky as a 1st violin member of vbw-Festivalorchester in Bad Wörishofen, Germany.
